It was very interesting. We saw the typical houses of the period. We saw the Provisional Governors home, of course it was the biggest. At this house we were shown the flogging board. When the person was flogged they still wore their clothes and water was poured over the butt to make it hurt more.
Here is a young Korean being "flogged."
We also saw the home in which the that the wealthy land owner would live.
We also were shown a building that would have been given to a family whose son had taken particularly excellent care of his parents.
Here is a close up picture of the detail of the building.
We also saw an amazing performance ofen who danced like this at harvest. I had hoped I could put this video in my blog, but alas and alack, I can't :(
Since it was a museum there were tons of students raging in age from 3-30.
Don't know what these girls were doing, but I had to take this picture.
This young man was riding a mechanized Pica chew. I know, I know, I didn't spell that correctly.
These kids were having lunch. Next to them were adults eating lunch. There was an American with them. She explained she was their teacher. They too were having lunch and offered some of it to is. It was yummy :)
The remains of lunch
This is a wishing stone. You write your wish on a piece of paper and tie it to the rope on the rock. Pretty cool
This was lunch. It was delicious.
More lunch
Some Korean countryside
Well, that is enough about Korea. We are on our way to Nagasaki, Japan. We will have no internet in Japan. So it may be awhile until you hear from me again. So chow for now.
