I thought I would let everyone know what is happening with our cruise. Our ship, The Insignia, was the ship that had the engine fire which killed three people. The repairs will take nine weeks. But instead of canceling, which was an option, we are taking a modified cruise. In early February we are flying to Singapore. This, to me, is absolutely horrendous. We almost cancelled because of that, but we are being offered business class, that I can do. We will cruise for 4 weeks through Asia, then we get a week in Singapore, then we pick up the Insignia and take that to Miami.
We are really excited about this change. We are missing the Carribbean, which we have done dozens of times and we are missing Africa, which we just did in July, the sad part is missing Brazil and India. Brazil isn't too bad, because frankly it is way easier to get to Brazil than Asia. India is a shame, however we only had one day there anyway. This way we get to spend a almost two months in Asia, a place we have wanted to visit for a long time.
So That's the plan for now. If things change I will let you know :)
