Luggage Woes

We are having a service come, for free of course, and take our checked luggage and ship it for us. Seemed so easy. Nope. Yesterday we were told we could pack anything we wanted in our checked bags. Today we get a call and there are a slew of items we can't pack. Like our vitamins. Really, we can't pack our vitamins. Sheesh. It gets worse. We can't pack any aerosol cans or cough drops, or toothpaste, or battery's, the list goes on you get the drift. This is all stuff you can put in your checked luggage when you take your luggage yourself to the airport, but it can't be sent. The only thing that can be in your luggage is clothes. I have bought a dry erase board to put on our door, Rich saw it in my suitcase and made me take it out because it's not clothes. He is afraid if customs sees it and it's not clothing they will hold my suitcase.

So it looks like we will have to check one bag ourselves. Something we were really hoping to avoid. Rich suggested not bringing the third bag at all, but frankly I think we will need it for all the goodies we buy while we are on this trip of a lifetime.

For those of you who know how usually I pack this is a really amusing situation. I usually travel everywhere carry on. This time I have a HUGE suitcase packed to the gills. I did weigh it and it is under 50 lbs. you should see my husbands suitcase. It is practically empty and weighs half of what mine weighs. Hee hee hee. I mean I could have gone carry on, but I would have been soooooooo sick of those clothes by the end of the trip.

Anyway, the bags are packed they're ready to go.........and, frankly, so are we :) 20 more wake ups and the adventure begins :)
