The cruise ship tells you that Japan doesn't allow outsiders to have Internet. Wrong. Japan charges a very high flat fee for Internet use. Works great for large ships, it's a total rip off for small ships like ours. Oh well, we managed.
Some brief thoughts on out trip before we head out on today's excursion. I don't like sqautty potties. In Asia when you go to the bathroom the majority of the restrooms are nothing more than a porcelain hole in the ground. You stand on either side of the hole, squat, and pee. Very hard with my knees. I don't bend that way anyone. But, at least in Japan, if you find a western toilet the seats are heated. Sweet.
Didn't pack the right clothes. I did such a good job on checking what the weather was going to be like, but I forgot I would be there a month early because of the change in the itinerary. It was 40 degrees yesterday. Luckily Rich had bought us new winter jackets that they sell on the ship. For $195 each. Yikes, I don't pay that kind of money for a jacket, but I am soooooo glad we did. I am so much warmer and it's only going to get colder as we move further north.
Well, it's almost time to leave, so I'll close. I'll try to be a better blogger in the future. Love and miss you all
